FAQ-080713-9

How is the RTSC-Pedia organized, and what sorts of documents exist

Contents

At its top-most level, the RTSC-Pedia comprises four major document binders which in turn hold the multiple dozens of documents and sub-documents available at this site:

General Information

The documents in this binder address many of the why's, what's, and how's of RTSC—but from a "10,000 foot" perspective that does not necessarily expose many of the low-level details involved in using the XDCtools product for day-to-day RTSC programming tasks. Use these documents for overall orientation within the world of RTSC.

RTSC Programming

The documents in this binder teach the core aspects of the RTSC programming model—but from an "on-the-ground" perspective where programmer's can, if they wish, use the XDCtools product to build and execute live examples. Use these documents to systematically learn (new) programming idioms introduced within the world of RTSC.

XDCtools User's Guide

The documents in this binder pragmatically describe all facets of the XDCtools product—from installation and getting-started to programming and trouble-shooting. Use these documents once you've downloaded XDCtools and have begun working with the product on a day-to-day basis.

XDCtools Reference Manual

The documents in this binder systematically define each element bundled with the XDCtools product—from basic commands to the most advanced aspect of the programming model. Use these documents as definitive references for programming capabilities introduced elsewhere.
